Faris Eid Al-Qatarneh, is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Northern Cement, a Jordanian publicly traded company and the country's second largest cement provider. Mr. Al-Qatarneh also serves on the board of Saraya Aqaba, a Jordanian private shareholding company that will implement a $1 billion Saraya Aqaba Project, a premier tourism and leisure destination in the city of Aqaba south of Jordan, Executive Board Member of the Middle East Insurance Company, Jordan's leading insurance firm, and a Senior Advisor to Saudi Pan Kingdom Holding [SAPAC], one of Saudi Arabia’s top contracting, construction and industrial entities. In addition, he is the Founding Partner of the regional office of Leo Burnett, an internationally renowned advertising agency, in Jordan and Iraq.

Representing the board of Northern Cement in Jordan, Mr. Al-Qatarneh managed to resolve many of the company's outstanding major legal and commercial issues, and improved ties with all stakeholders with particular focus on the local community as well as the government, resulting in an enhanced public image, and vastly improved top and bottom lines leading to its current second place position in terms of market share.

Holder of a Masters Degree in intellectual property law from the George Washington University, in 2010 Mr. Al-Qatarneh served as Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and chaired the country's Joint Procurement Department tasked with the sensitive task of managing and centralizing the purchasing of all drugs and medical supplies for the country's public hospitals. Prior to these posts, Al-Qatarneh was appointed as the Chief of Staff for Prime Minister [PM] Samir Al Rifai, managing the PM's team and overseeing the relationship with all key stakeholders including members of the cabinet, the Royal Court as well as the Parliament. Before then, he was appointed by HM King Abdullah II as an Ambassador holding the position of Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His tasks included managing relations with all foreign missions within the Kingdom, facilitating the implementation of international agreements, organizing major events such as the World Economic Forum and handling visits of heads of states to Jordan.

From the years 2001 to 2007, Mr. Al-Qatarneh served as the Director of Protocol for Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, responsible for the management of Her Majesty's activities, as well as international and local engagements. Prior to this post, Al-Qatarneh served with His Royal Highness Prince El-Hassan, Jordan's former Crown Prince, as Assistant Chief of Protocol.

Mr. Al-Qatarneh is a member of the Jordan Board Association as well as the Jordan Intellectual Property Association. He was also a member of the local chapter of the Young Arab Leaders [YAL], a regional association tasked with empowering youth in the Arab world. Al-Qatarneh currently heads the founding committee of the Foreign Investors Association in Jordan responsible for advocating the rights of the largest international firms in the Kingdom such as Orange, Zain, Lafarge, Jordan Dubai Capital and Al-Maabar among others.

Al-Qatarneh received several medals including the Second Order of Independence granted by His Majesty King Abdullah II, and the Grand Officer Medal, granted by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, in addition to various decorations from the Netherlands, Hungary and Spain. Mr. Al-Qatarneh is married to Ms. Hala Al-Fayez.
